Mission Statement

The Hanumanji Vision

The Hanuman Vision.
The quest for satisfactory answers along with a burning desire to fully understand the powers of Hanumanji, that Lord of Strength, Wisdom and Courage, became the driving forces for an aspiring devotee of Hanumanji, Balliram Chadee to embark on a spiritual journey. This journey reflected a vision to see the birth of a Hanumanji Mission dedicated to the Life, Virtues and Glories of Hanumanji, the Master of Endurance and Success.

In order to achieve this goal and for this vision to become a legal entity,
this one-man team expanded in scope and included three more individuals with the same desire, who subsequently became the first directors of an organization in Ajax, Ontario, Canada, to be known as:

“The Hanuman Temple and Center For Religious & Cultural Research”

This Vision which evolved into The Hanuman Mission became legally materialized when the above name organization was Registered as a Corporation and approved as a Charity by the Government of Ontario. After its Incorporation as a Charity, the organization received its “Letters Patent” in December, 2002.

The Organization then expanded and the first Board of Directors was created comprising of nine (9) members. The BOD then established an Executive Council and appointed five (5) members as Trustees, with full responsible for the Life Interests and Successful Operations of the Organization as a Charity in Canada.

Through Hanumanji’s blessings and guidance, The Hanuman Temple and Center For Religious & Cultural Research was approved and designated by the Government of Canada (CCRA) as a “Charitable Organization”, with full
Status and a Charity Registration Number assigned in February 2003.

HANUMAN JAYANTI (manifestation date of Hanumanji) celebrations on April 16th 2003, marked the Official Spiritual Opening of the Organization, at a private residence in Ajax, Ont. On May 3rd 2003, the official opening and 1st Annual General meeting of members took place, with the Minister of Finance and MPP for Pickering-Ajax-Uxbridge, Hon. Janet Ecker being present.

The organization has grown and is spreading the word of Hanumanji through various initiatives. Current involvement includes Hindu Visitation with various hospitals in Durham Region and GTA. We are also working with the Ontario Multifaith Council, the Town of Ajax, Durham Regional Police Services, Province of Ontario and other organizations on the future plans, services and contributions which we plan to make and on programs which we expect to teach, train and explore to assist all Canadians. We have initiated and held many follow up discussions with Statistics Canada to create a Category for identifying members of the Indian Caribbean Diaspora called "Indo Caribbean". We are working towards having this Category established for the 2011 Census.

We have also grown to included representation and contributions from Spiritualists, Academics, Educators, Social Workers, Pundits and Management Support of members from Trinidad, Guyana, Fiji, Mauritius, India, USA and across Canada. So far, we have provided various support services, information advice, counselling and spiritual guidance to various people in India, South Africa, Peru, USA, Trinidad, Guyana and Canada.

In 2005, The Hanuman Mission had Five (5) additional Charitable Objects Approved and added to the Original One (1) for the services it can now legally provide in Canada and the contributions it can make around the world in times of Disaster and Crisis regarding Relief Efforts and support.

On Thursday October 27th, 2005 at a Provincial Award Ceremony in Oshawa, the Board of Directors of The Hanuman Mission were recognized for their VOLUNTEERISM Efforts and Contributions when they were presented with the:

ONTARIO VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD.

Recipients of the Award for their Volunteerism Efforts were:

Balliram Chadee, Bhimdath Dookie, Buddy Rampersad,

Mohan Rampersad, Mala Ramdeo and Jairam Binda.

The Board of Directors were Nominated for their years of Volunteer Service to the Hindu Religion, the Hanuman Mission and the Indo Caribbean Community by the Founder and President; Balliram Chadee.

In November 2005 during a Historic Initiative, The Hanuman Mission donated the First Joint Volunteer Service Award Recognition in Partnership with Durham Regional Police Services. This Award is donated by The Hanuman Mission as a Community effort, to acknowledge one citizen in the Durham Region annually for their contributions. The is truely an accomplishment for us since it is the first time the Logo of the Durham Police is alongside the the name Hanuman.

This is our Vision of the Hanuman Temple as given by Hanumanji!
